It was July 12, wedding day had finally arrived for Kacie and Chris. Months of planning had led up to this day, and it was here! It started for the girls at the exquisite Omni Hotel in uptown Charlotte, with makeup and hair. The bridal suite was perfectly lit with a wall of windows displaying the gorgeous Charlotte skyline. It was the perfect sunny day for a wedding. Favorite tunes were playing on the iPad, and we were in the moment. Noon came and it was time to wear the dress! Kacie wore it well! Her mother’s pearl earrings, and blue satin clutch made for the perfect finishing touches. Everyone was ready, and so was their escort. One bus trip later, Kacie and her girls were inside the bridal room at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Around the corner was one very proud father waiting to see his little girl. Emotions were high. It was a very proud moment for their family. Tears of joy and excitement filled the room. It was time for a wedding, and it was time to go down that aisle. Chris’s expression was so pure and genuine when Kacie entered the room. Family and friends watched as Kacie and Chris vowed their love and commitment to one another. Prayers were made, vows were exchanged, scripture and the gospel were presented, communion was taken, and final blessings were given. The two were one. Kacie and Chris were now husband and wife! The remainder of the day was nothing short of a party and celebration of marriage. After a quick detour to Freedom Park, everyone headed to the prominent Founder’s Hall for cocktail hour. The reception was breathtaking. Flowers and white linens dressed the tables, and the light seemed to fall on them perfectly. The remainder of the night was complete with an incredible meal, toasts, cake, and of course dancing!
